Save the date: Invitation to the Sparkling Science Congress on 7 October 2019
Since 2007 the Sparkling Science programme has funded a total of 299 projects and thus facilitated cooperation between science and schools. During that time Sparkling Science has brought about major systemic changes in many of the participating institutions – research institutions and schools. With a total volume of almost € 35 million this form of research funding was and remains unique in Europe.
On 7 October the Sparkling Science Congress 2019 at the Vienna University of Technology will focus on the success story of Sparkling Science. The presentations and discussions will focus on the institutional effects.
At 1:30 p.m. the federal minister Iris Rauskala (Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research) will present the Young Science Inspiration Award for the most inspiring pre-scientific thesis or diploma thesis based on a research project.
The programme also includes a Sparkling Dialogue, a science rally for pupils, the selection of the winning image in the Sparkling Science Challenge, and the presentation of awards to the research and educational institutions that have participated most frequently in Sparkling Science projects.
