Citizen Science Award Day on 19 November: guided tours, workshops and presentations on exciting research topics
There will be presentations and workshops on topics such as plastic waste, food culture and native bird life. A special highlight will be a scavenger hunt for writing in public spaces.
Experience research up close! From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 19 November not only school classes but also anyone interested in the various research topics will have the opportunity to learn more about the research institutions that have carried out a citizen science project this year and their research activities: the environmental protection organisation Global2000, the International Centre for Archival Research (ICARUS) together with the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the Federal Environment Agency together with the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), the University of Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts together with the Vienna Museum of Folk Life and Folk Art.
